On Friday, 5^th March 2010 the Platform BDS-Turkey and Mesopotamian Social Forum held a common protest demonstration in front of the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul and thus started the campaign against the import of 10 Heron UAVs from Israel. The Heron deal, which is a significant instance of the military relationships between Turkey and Israel, acquired urgency in the agenda of the left wing organizations and labour unions taking part in the BDS Platform, as the delivery of the UAVs started. The objective of the present campaign is to keep the movements and circles in Turkey that are ready to wage solidarity with Palestine alert against the Heron deal.
